Welcome to my blog!
After teaching high school math for four years and earning a Masters in Statistics at UMass-Amherst and a PhD in Biostatistics at Brown University, I am currently an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Skidmore College.
My research focuses on causal inference methods for multiple exposures or multiple exposure doses. In my spare time, I enjoy the application of statistics to sports, particularly with respect to league policies, structures, and incentives.
If you are interested in contacting me, I can be reached at

This is my favorite website. I love the statistical analysis and insight. Read it everyday. UCONN HUSKIES 2014 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!
I just read a couple of posts and it looks really good! I do not have a statistical background but I did calc 1, 2, & 3 in college. Keep posting!
Re: refs may responds to aggression too.., adding to the conspiracy theory, the Flames penalty numbers have recently declined over the last month coincidently with said conspiracy getting airtime and Flames mgmt talking to the league about the refs! Coincidence?, sounds like league had discreetly had a word with head of refs and is backing off their focus on Flames!
